USDT to bank account: how the money actually reaches you
USDT does not move into a bank account directly. You sell it for INR to a buyer, who pays your bank by UPI, IMPS or NEFT while your USDT sits in escrow. The rupees arrive through the normal banking rails, usually within minutes.
A common misconception is that a platform 'converts' USDT and wires you rupees. What actually happens is a trade: somebody buys your USDT and pays you in INR. Knowing that explains every cost and every delay.
The path
| Hop | What happens | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Escrow | Your USDT is locked when the sell order opens | Instant |
| 2. INR transfer | The buyer sends rupees to your bank account | Seconds to minutes |
| 3. Verification | You confirm the settled credit in your banking app | Your pace |
| 4. Release | Escrow releases USDT to the buyer, order closes | Instant |
Where delays actually come from
- Bank-side processing — UPI and IMPS run round the clock; NEFT batches can lag.
- Buyer inaction — the order timer exists for exactly this; let it run rather than releasing early.
- Daily limits on the buyer's side, which sometimes prompt a request to pay from another account. Refuse it.
- Your own verification — deliberately the slowest step, and correctly so.

Converted at FastXP2P's live rate. The final amount is confirmed on the order screen before you commit.
What it costs
The spread between the sell rate and mid-market — typically 0.4%–0.9% — and nothing else on the INR leg. Moving USDT onto the platform from an outside wallet costs whatever that network charges; TRC-20 withdrawals out cost 1 USDT.
Sell USDT and receive INR straight to your bank via UPI or IMPS.

Can I send USDT directly to my bank account?
No. USDT lives on a blockchain and banks do not hold it. You sell it to a buyer who pays you in INR through normal banking rails.
How long does USDT to bank take?
Usually minutes. UPI and IMPS settle almost instantly; the slowest part is normally your own verification, which is worth taking time over.
